Are miracles real? The story of one man’s life contained in this book is a front-seat witness that miracles are everywhere and God is aware of the smallest details in our lives.

Bridge of Miracles is the true story of an impoverished, barefoot boy living in the largest slum in Africa who finds hope in the belief that with God’s help, he can do anything. As difficulties deepen and circumstances seem impossible, Amram acts on answered prayers, trusting that miracles will open doors on his inconceivable journey to the United States.

After arriving in the United States with only fifty dollars in his pocket, Amram’s steadfast determination to achieve higher education and to ultimately run for President of Kenya is an astounding story. The combination of Amram’s soft heart and his unshakable desire to lift thousands in his path will inspire you to reach out and discover your own ability to make a difference. Amram knows one thing for sure and so will you - regardless of the mission you choose, God will build a bridge.

Why this book is a MUST READ

Amram Musungu has a compelling and unique story to share. He is a true, modern, Utah Pioneer.
— Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert (2005-2021)
Amram was born bold in declaring the gospel. He is one of the chosen people the Lord placed on the surface of this earth. With Amram it’s not just what he’s saying - there’s action. He recognizes goodness and wants to shout it out. If everyone was as missionary minded as Amram, the Church membership would double.
— Freddie Thomas - Missionary who taught Amram in Kenya
Amram’s story is inspirational in many ways, but what stands out to me is his example of unfailing faith. Despite how uncertain his future was, he remained determined to stay his course. Amram shows us in his journey that you can move forward making good decisions without having the outcomes laid out in front of you. By trusting in the Lord and being willing to accept His will, Amram is proof that the Lord will not only keep us safe but will use us to accomplish great things. I am grateful to have been a part of Amram’s life and will always consider him a great friend.
— Russell Price - Missionary who taught Amram in Kenya
I worked closely with Amram Musungu when I was serving as president of the Utah Salt Lake Mission. Amram was instrumental in organizing a Swahili-speaking branch. Together we worked with the stake president involved and organized the leadership of the branch, which include Amram as the branch president. He was a delight to work with, and I enjoyed our time together as he organized the branch and after. While I was there, the branch was a great success and attracted many Swahili-speaking members. Amram was a great leader and made everyone feel welcome and loved. He is amazing!
— W. Blake Sonne - Utah Salt Lake Mission President
My fondest memories of Amram occurred while walking the dusty roads of Dares-Salaam, Tanzania, together as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Amram and I served during a time when the Church in Tanzania was new, and the field was truly white and ready to harvest. Amram’s rock-solid testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Chest fueled his desire to share that testimony with everyone we came in contact with! He fully understood the urgency behind the work we were engaged in. The area we served in required a lot of walking, and Amram would always speed-walk to each appointment. One day I asked him if he could slow down a bit as he was literally leaving me in the dust! He responded by saying, “Come on, Elder, we have work to do!” As I reflect on missionary days with Amram, I can’t help but think of President Kimball’s call for members of the Church to lengthen their stride. In my opinion, there is no better example of anyone who lengthens their stride better than Amram. He gave his heart and soul to the Lord’s children in Tanzania, and he continues to serve the Lord with that same enthusiasm today. Whenever I think I am doing enough in my church service, I think of Amram and how he continues to leave me in the dust.
— Ben Gibson - Missionary companion in Tanzania
My daughter met Amram some years earlier, so we always looked for him in any broadcast that included the Tabernacle Choir. I was thrilled when he entered the Master of Accounting program at Westminster College and became a student of mine. When he graduated, I made sure that he was recognized as our Outstanding Accounting Student at the commencement service. I am proud to call him a student of mine, but more proud to call him a dear friend.
— Ron Mano - Professor at Westminster College
